Brad Penny is headed to Japan. The 33-year-old righty will join the Softbank Hawks of Japan’s Pacific League, the team announced on its website Sunday. Penny, who pitched 12 seasons in the majors for six teams, indicated earlier in the week via Twitter he was headed for Japan.

Bryce Harper is one of the best prospects in baseball and certainly seems to have a bright future in front of him. In about two or three seasons he is likely to become one of the best hitters in the game, unless the hype surrounding him has been completely overblown.
