Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., is the home of the Washington Nationals. The park is located a short walk from the Navy Yard in Southeast Washington, D.C., and is conveniently served by the METRO rail system. Nationals Park is one of the newest baseball stadiums in the major leagues. The park is a very good looking stadium as well. Being so new the park has some unique attractions. The park has a wide range of food selections but you may find the prices a bit expensive.

Adam Wainwright struggled for five innings and the Cardinals lost again, falling to Washington 4-2 Sunday and dropping five games behind Cincinnati in the NL Central. On the day Stephen Strasburg was declared done for the season, another rookie kept humming along, pitching the St. Louis Cardinals to victory in the ballpark where Strasburg is supposed to rule. The Washington Nationals announced in a conference call this morning that rookie righthander Stephen Strasburg likely will need Tommy John surgery. Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo said Strasburg has a significant tear in the ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow. If he has the surgical procedure, he likely will be sidelined until at least late in the 2011 season — if not the entire 2011 season. Strasburg suffered the injury in his most recent start, though he was diagnosed with a strained flexor tendon after an initial MRI exam.

As milestones go, home run No. 400 should make Albert Pujols' top five. He cherishes his one World Series ring the most. The three MVP awards mean a lot. For pure numbers, it is tough to beat his unprecedented nine consecutive seasons (soon to be 10) to start a career with a .300 batting average, 30 homers and 100 RBIs. There also are the 2003 batting title and the 2009 home run title, plus the four times he has led the NL in runs and three times he has led the NL in OPS.
